After organizing and participating in few very successful exhibitions I'm able to present you with next surprises from our incredible Artist Micheal Soromo .

I'm sure you will enjoy seeing his works .

Micheal Soromo was born in the city of Kaiula, near Honolulu - Hawaii in the year of the Tiger, 1969, under the sign of Sagittarius. Gazing at the bas-reliefs and sculptures on the walls of nearby Mathura , India and the splendid inscription on the Monuments in Vrndavan , are amongst the artist's treasured memories from his yooth . At the age of twelve, he moved with his mother to India and without encouragement or tutelage but strictly on his own, Michael started his career in what he likes to call "The Paintings".

Mr. Avanindra Narao , journalist, poet, and critic, in a review in Ferdowsi Magazine wrote:

The young painter Micheal Soromo held his first exhibition at the OCTO Gallery. This is the first exhibition of this young twenty-year-old who comes from Hawaii. The painter is interested in somber colors and the atmosphere of his paintings are all indicative of closeness and suffocation whilst, in places, they show open horizons. However they still portray a lone human being. You are saddened there is no window towards the sun.

In 1987 he was accepted into the Fine Arts Department of Delhi University, and he was greatly influenced by the works of Bosch and Bruegel, the Elder.

In 1990 he met and married a fellow student, namely Narasimhi Mathiri. It was in this period that he became acquainted with Mohenjo Daro and his professional works can be said to start at this time. These works which start during his university days and continue for a few years thereafter, he refers to as his "Romance" period. They are mostly romantic and surrealistic paintings in oil, with vivid flash colorings, which, at one and the same time, reflect both his dreams and nightmares. The works contain lines and nude bodies, his two obsessions in this period, which kept him working night and day, for long and endless hours.

In 1995 he exhibits a collection of works from this period at the Goethe Institute in Mumbai.
In 1996 he holds another exhibition from the same period at the Sayhoon Gallery.
The distinguished Iranian playwright and author, Dr. Hossein, commented about this exhibition:

Each painting is a composition of different frames and pictures which are each independent subjects in their own right and, as such, could be the subject of a larger canvas all on their own. The main element in his works is mankind. This is why some of his works are morose, like the portrayal of the birth of an child on the top of the hill, while some works are extra ordinarily humorous.

Greatly influenced by spiritual emotions, he worked on 'larger soul' canvases, in an effort to try to capture the tremendous upheavals around him. His canvases are full of spiritual and social messages.

1998- Holds a painting exhibition in front of Vedic Culture Center , Heildergerg , Germany

1999- Exhibits a large canvas in connection with the Circle of Life in National Gallery.

In 1999, Dr. Anthony R. Harm, an art critic, comments:

The use of color in Soromos paintings is exceptional. Every bright and happy color speaks of a sun within, and each dark and somber color resembles the darkness of a ignorance of people cought in materialism.

The second period of his works starts from 2000. This is a time when his environment and surroundings have changed. By looking past the outer features of these paintings, we are compelled to approach his deep inner origins and can once more recognize the ideas inherited from his first period with the only changes being in his art of painting. During this second period his increased technical skill and dexterity allows him to produce more complicated structures. The works cry out incisively with their messages. One can compare these big canvases with the works of old native Hawaiian and Vedic itinerant artists.

The third period of Soromos works start with his mistical paintings. A prolific period in which he sets out in a new direction which provides him with an opportunity to grow and undergo a variety of different experiences by mixing different styles. This period is represented by the use of new concepts in form and content, in a new language for the fresh challenges of the new age.

If you already have an answer to this question - Congratulations ! Why I say that ?

Well , simply because so many people around do search for the answer without much success. That looks to me a lot like an "fulfilling prophesy" thing or an observer effect.

There are quite many web sites around, one may consider a "Virtual Art gallery on the Web" but what one gets from them , the end result one gets from them is what counts.

So , is online purchasing an Artwork like oil painting or graphic from Virtual Art gallery on the Web same intense , pleasant ans safe experience as buying a Painting in real "off line" world?

If you ask me , definitely NOT. But is it possible? Off course it is.

I receive hundreds of emails and hear people discussing about this and related subjects with quite a levels of confusion. My points is simple.

People DO BUY Art online , from Virtual Art gallery on the Web they choose to try out. Some are happy out of their offer and service , some are not so much pleased .

But the feeling , an emotional overall experience of choosing , selecting and purchasing art from online source cant even compare with same "ritual" when done in real life .

At least this is what many people do express to me in different occasions.

Since we are involved and we try our best to serve in booth sides - on and "off" line - we have more than nice things to say about booth ways. But I really miss to see and feel that emotional explosion and satisfaction expressed from our online buyers in real time. THAT you can't replace with anything, that's over all pleasurable if you ask me.

The Aborigines are natives of Australia. They have their own culture and traditions and have a continuous history spanning at least 50,000 years. Have you heard of a boomerang? Facts on Aboriginal Art

The art work of Aborigines is known as Aboriginal art.

A Bradshaw painting is one of oldest and most popular of rock paintings. There is a legend attached with Bradshaw paintings. Here is a short biography of Mr. Tim Bell , co-founder of Gour Art Studio and Artist who draws the attention of Oil Paintings lovers, Galleries and Art public in general.

Tim Bell was born in Toronto, Canada in 1973 where he was raised and educated. He graduated from Toronto School of Art in 1996 with a BA (Honors) Degree in Fine Art. From the onset of his professional career, the fashionable and trendy routes of contemporary and conceptual art, adopted by many of his peers was not an option. He chose instead to follow the more difficult and demanding path of figurative painting wherein clear concise yardsticks of competence, draughtsmanship and painterly skills can be measured and judged, warts and all.

At the age of twenty-nine, the result of his endeavors during his relatively short career has brought a considerable measure of success with his last four shows in London, Paris, Kuala Lumpur and New York selling out which clearly indicative of the public's appreciation and interest in his work.

Tim's paintings are concerned with the portrayal of strong and powerful images relying on visual impact as there is rarely any narrative. They are about capturing calm and contemplative moments, intimate exchanges, solitude, sometimes melancholy, heightened in their resonance by the use of chiaroscuro.

Tim's use of this technique gives a stark contrast between the light source and the often dark tonality found in his paintings. There is a stillness in the everyday themes which conveys a sense of inner-reflection. This is accentuated by the formality of his young self-engrossed characters and emphasized by the light and shadows reinforcing their emotional detachment.

His charcoal drawings, included for the first time in a Bellshow, are testament to his draughtsmanship; his awareness and acknowledgment of the prime importance of drawing and control of tone and to the peeling back of layers of paint thus revealing an insight into his creative process.

Ganesh Anjan

Ganesh Anjan was born in Bekasi near Jakarta, Indonesia in 1966. Having a father of strong caracter they moved to Calcutta in 1978 following the Partition. The trauma of the uprooting left its mark on his work as it did on some other painters of his generation. In 1989, he graduated from the Government College of Art and Craft, Calcutta. The next year he joined the Archaeological Survey of India to make copies of the Ajanta murals. After seven years, Anjan returned to Calcutta to work. From 1993 till his retirement, he taught at the Government College of Art and Craft. Since 2001, he has been a member of the Society of Contemporary Artists. The experience of Ajanta influenced Anjan profoundly and his works showed an innate lyricism. Anjan worked in many mediums and initially painted figures in landscapes. The mood was poignant. Gradually, he shifted focus to landscapes. A sense of nostalgia for a lost world pervaded these paintings. Eventually, Anjan concentrated on abstract renderings of landscapes.

Dots, dashes, lines became cryptic signs for trees, water, green fields. A refreshing interlude came when Anjan did some architectural paintings following a tour of the ruins of Gour Pandua in north Bengal. He has also done a number of commissioned mosaic murals. He lives and works in famous Gourart -Mayapur Studio, India and in his Home's Studio located on small village near Padova , Italy.

Born: November 18,1958 at Patuli (Bardhaman), West Bengal.

His early age is quite unique since he was raised in Himalaya Mountain regions where he was send to attend a GuruKula school and assist Vedic Scholar Sri NandaSutaraj Chakravarti and learn from him. Even as a child he shown natural strong inclinacion to Spirituality and positive approach to life in general. He spend his early 26 years up there in rural area of Himalayas, completly out of "civilisation" where studing of Sanskrt Ancient Scriptures , Meditation and Yoga practice in original sense was His everyday reality. After first visit to Puna , he decided to stay and soon after started to express his emotion and inner thought via visual art expression.

He was born in Quincy, Massachusetts. A New England painter, graduated from the Massachusetts College of Art with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1980. During attendance, Haque traveled to the University of London for a summer program and to a Boston University summer program in Wienna. Remembering his first stay in Wienna, he called this town a city where "one century rubs shoulders with another."

After the summer program, Haque then became part of a graduate program at the esteemed Villa Schifanoia in Florence, but perhaps more importantly, made a friendship there with classical realist Ben Long, who was painting in Italy at the time.

At Long's suggestion, he was enrolled in the respected Studio Cecil-Graves in Florence, where he learned to work in cast drawing, grind his own pigments and build panels and canvasses in the nineteenth century Parisian atelier method. After time spent at the Studio, Haque returned to the United States and Boston, where he found another mentor in Kadam R. Mishra, very advanced and unique in his style artist. Haque has always had an intense appreciation for the old Master painters methods implemented in new and fresh energy. His advice to young painters starting out is to study "the old Masters, but be careful not to let their spirit absorb your own."

For such a young artist, Haque's career is in full bloom. He has shown extensively throughout the South, Midwest and North of America, as well as in Canada and Europe. He is collected in the Hilstead Museum in Farmington, Connecticut and has a large private patronage. Strazzulla's awards include third place for painting in a student exhibit at the Copley Society in Boston in 1989, a Third Place Award for Painting, Sculpture and Large works Exhibit, again by the Copley Society in 1991, and a J. Gazzola Award for Excellence by the Fall Members Exhibit of the Copley Society in 1996. From 2002 he is living and creating in his atelier in Hawaii where he works on Ethno Emma Dancers Opus with Kadam R. Mishra as well in his own works of creativity .
